changing the wiki language (OT)

I don't know if the mediawiki is supposed to have buttons or something in it's interface to change languages, but it would be nice. It was hard to make an account or navigate because I couldn't figure out a way to switch things from german. once I made an account, I knew how to change my default language to english, so that's fine. random passerby's might have a problem however. maybe there is a wikimedia skin that adds a language selection more promently.
